Check Prerequisites & Dependencies

Ensure your FiveM server is running an up-to-date server artifact and has the following required dependencies installed:

• Core Framework: qbx_core (QBox), qb-core, or es_extended
• Database Library: oxmysql
• UI / Library Utilities: ox_lib
• Target Interaction System: ox_target, qb-target, or qbx-target
• Dispatch Resource (Optional): qb_dispatch, ps_dispatch, cd_dispatch, or none (for alarm triggers)
• Clothing Resource (Optional): illenium-appearance, qb-clothing, esx_skin, or none
• Vehicle Keys System (Optional): qbx_vehiclekeys, qb-vehiclekeys, qs-vehiclekeys, or custom via bridge
• Phone System (Optional): 17mov_phone, lb_phone, or none (for Shady Contact SMS alerts)
• Notification System (Optional): ox_lib, bs-advnotifications, or framework default

Download the Resource

Acquire BS Crime Scene Cleaner Multiplayer Job from your FiveM Keymaster (opens in a new tab) granted assets or the Cfx.re Portal (opens in a new tab).

Extract the archive into your server's resources directory (e.g., resources/[jobs]/bs-crimescenecleanerjob). Ensure the resource folder is named bs-crimescenecleanerjob.

Execute Database Migration (crimescenecleanerjob.sql)

Import the provided crimescenecleanerjob.sql file into your MySQL database using HeidiSQL, phpMyAdmin, or your database management tool of choice.

Configure Server ACE Permissions (server.cfg)

Open your server.cfg file and add the following lines above the ensure bs-crimescenecleanerjob line:

add_ace resource.bs-crimescenecleanerjob command.add_ace allow

IMPORTANT: Why is add_ace resource.bs-crimescenecleanerjob command.add_ace allow required?

When bs-crimescenecleanerjob starts, the server script in server/functions.lua executes the following command:

ExecuteCommand(('add_ace %s %s allow'):format(serverConfig.adminPermission, 'crimescenecleanerjob.admin'))

By default, FiveM prevents resources from running the add_ace command from script contexts unless the resource is explicitly granted command.add_ace allow. Without this line in your server.cfg, FiveM will deny command execution, preventing admins from using /csctaskmanager and /cscbonusmanager.

Configure Workwear & Hazmat Suits

The script provides dedicated outfits for standard workwear and biohazard containment hazmat suits:

1. Open config/cl_config.lua and review the outfits table:
   • outfits.workwear: Applied when clocking in for shifts.
   • outfits.hazmatSuit: Required when entering biohazard crime scenes and handling contamination. Players equip this by interacting with the service van.
2. If your server streams custom EUP or replacement clothing packs, match the component drawable numbers (torso2, pants, arms, mask, glass) to your server's clothing assets.

Add to Server Startup (server.cfg)

Add the resource start line below all framework, database, and bridge dependencies:

Start the Server and Verify Installation

1. Restart your FiveM server.
2. Check your server console for the green initialization banner and confirm no database or ACE permission errors appear.
3. In-game, approach the headquarters blip, speak with the foreman NPC, and verify the tablet opens cleanly!
