Client Configuration (cl_config.lua)
The config/cl_config.lua file handles client-side visual settings, including player work uniforms (outfits) and the in-game tutorial FAQ rendered inside the job dashboard.
👕 Outfits Configuration
The script automatically dresses workers in high-visibility safety clothing upon starting a job route, and restores their civilian outfit when clocking out or disconnecting.

},Default Vanilla GTA DLC Workwear
The default configuration uses clothes from vanilla GTA Online DLCs, which guarantees they are present on every server without requiring external clothing packs:
- Default Male: Jacket
363, Pants134, Decals0, Hat145(texture1). - Default Female: Jacket
288(texture1), Pants217, Decals224, Hat144(texture1).
Custom Server Clothes & EUP Packs
If your server uses custom EUP or modded clothing packs, streaming new assets shifts the drawable ID numbers:
- Open your server's clothing store menu (e.g.
illenium-appearance,rcore_clothing,fivem-appearance, orqb-clothing). - Dress your ped in your custom oil field outfit and note down the exact drawable number and texture ID for:
torso2(jacket)pants(legs)decals(reflective patches or logos)hat(hard hat)
- Enter those values into
config/cl_config.luaformaleandfemale.
📖 In-Game FAQ & Tutorials (tutorials)
The tutorials table contains the questions and answers displayed to players in the in-game dashboard under the Tutorial tab:
tutorials = {
{
id = 1,
question = "How do I start working?",
answer = "Go to the Oil Field Job base blip and interact with the foreman NPC. You can also open the dashboard with your job menu key. The dashboard only opens if you are assigned to the oil field job."
},
{
id = 2,
question = "How do I get a vehicle and equipment?",
answer = "A service truck is spawned automatically when the lobby leader starts a job route. You can interact with the vehicle using your target system to put on your safety workwear or change back to regular clothes."
},
{
id = 3,
question = "How does a work route work?",
answer = "After starting the route, the script assigns you an oil field location. Travel there, put on your safety workwear, and complete all tasks such as grinding rust, welding pipes, or repairing technical boxes. Once everything is done, return to base to collect your payout."
},
{
id = 4,
question = "How do I complete a task?",
answer = "Approach a task (e.g., rusted pipes, technical boxes) and start the interaction. Each task has its own mini-game and UI instructions. You must be wearing your safety workwear to interact with oil field equipment."
},
{
id = 5,
question = "How does the crew system work?",
answer = "Every player has a lobby. The lobby owner can invite nearby players with the same job. Before starting, payout shares must total exactly 100%. The leader starts the route and all members get assigned to the same oil field site. The final payout is split based on your lobby share percentages."
},
{
id = 6,
question = "How do experience and upgrades work?",
answer = "You gain XP for completing tasks and finishing oil field sites. You can spend your earned XP in the Upgrades tab to unlock permanent skill upgrades, which can speed up maintenance tasks or boost your earnings."
},
{
id = 7,
question = "What affects how much money I earn per task?",
answer = "Task payout is calculated from the base task payment * distance multiplier (if configured). After the route is finished, lobby member shares are applied to the total payout, and your purchased upgrades can further increase your final money."
},
{
id = 8,
question = "What are daily and weekly quests?",
answer = "Daily and weekly quests are tracked in the Quests tab. Progress updates from your actions on the job (e.g. grinding rust, regulating valves, earning money). Completed quests grant extra XP and money, and they reset automatically when their timers expire."
}
}Adding New In-Game Tutorials
To add a new entry to the in-game dashboard FAQ:
{
id = 9,
question = "Can I do the job alone?",
answer = "Yes! Simply approach the foreman NPC without inviting anyone to your lobby. Ensure your payout share is 100%, then start the route."
},
