Troubleshooting Guide

Find quick answers and solutions to common installation, permission, vehicle, and configuration issues below.

1. /csctaskmanager or /cscbonusmanager Gives "No Permission" or Console Error

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

When running /csctaskmanager or /cscbonusmanager, the chat reports "You do not have permission to do this", or the server console displays:

Execution of add_ace denied for resource bs-crimescenecleanerjob

🟒 Cause:

  1. FiveM's engine blocks resources from registering or modifying ACE permissions from script code unless granted permission in server.cfg.
  2. The user executing the command is not part of the ACE group defined in config/sv_config.lua (adminPermission).

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Open your server.cfg and add the following lines above ensure bs-crimescenecleanerjob:
    add_ace resource.bs-crimescenecleanerjob command.add_ace allow
  2. If you use a different group name (e.g., group.superadmin or group.god), update adminPermission in config/sv_config.lua:
    adminPermission = 'group.superadmin',

2. Cleaning Van Fails to Spawn at Base Headquarters

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

The crew leader starts the route, but no cleaning van appears, or the chat displays a vehicle spawn failure.

🟒 Cause:

The spawn coordinates defined in base.vehicle.spawnCoords are currently blocked by parked player cars, props, or nearby network entities. The script checks each coordinate against sharedConfig.job.spawnClearRadius (default: 5.0m) to prevent vehicle clipping.

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Ensure the parking bays in front of the base NPC at coordinates 844.52, -2118.31, 29.52 are clear of obstructions.
  2. In config/sh_config.lua, add more backup coordinates to base.vehicle.spawnCoords so the server has more alternative spawn points to choose from:
    spawnCoords = {
      vec4(836.38, -2119.26, 28.35, 174.44),
      vec4(836.62, -2119.59, 28.37, 179.09),
      vec4(828.87, -2118.62, 28.16, 174.93),
      -- Add additional parking bays here if running a high-population server
    },

3. Work Clothes or Hazmat Suits Glitch / Show Invisible Body Parts

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

When putting on the hazmat suit or workwear, the character's torso, arms, or legs turn invisible or display distorted civilian clothing textures.

🟒 Cause:

Your server uses a custom clothing pack or add-on EUP that replaces or shifts vanilla GTA V drawable ID numbers. The default configuration in config/cl_config.lua targets standard base GTA DLC clothing components.

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Open your server's clothing store menu (illenium-appearance, rcore_clothing, fivem-appearance, or qb-clothing).
  2. Dress your ped in the desired workwear or hazmat outfit and record the exact drawable numbers:
    • torso2 (jacket/hazmat body)
    • pants (legs)
    • arms (gloves/hazmat arms)
    • mask (respirator/gas mask)
    • glass (hazmat goggles/visor)
  3. Open config/cl_config.lua and update outfits.workwear and outfits.hazmatSuit for male and female tables with the recorded numbers.

4. Target Interaction (ox_target / qb-target) Missing on Dispatcher NPC or Van

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

Approaching the base NPC or the cleaning van with your target key (Alt or Right Click) does not display any interaction eye or options.

🟒 Cause:

  1. The interaction setting in config/sh_config.lua does not match the active target resource running on your server.
  2. If jobName is set to a whitelisted string (e.g., 'crimescenecleaner'), your character does not have that specific job assigned.

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Open config/sh_config.lua and verify:
    interaction = 'ox_target', -- Set to 'ox_target', 'qb-target', or 'qbx-target'
  2. If using job whitelisting, check your player's job:
    jobName = false, -- Set to false to allow all players, or 'crimescenecleaner' for whitelisted

5. Cannot Interact with Crime Scene Tasks ("Put on Hazmat Suit")

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

When arriving at a crime scene, interacting with blood pools or evidence displays an error message informing the player they must wear protective gear.

🟒 Cause:

The script requires biohazard containment protocols to be followed. Handling hazardous biological contamination or toxic chemical crime scene elements requires an airtight Hazmat Suit.

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Walk over to your assigned cleaning van (burritocsc).
  2. Target the vehicle with your interaction key.
  3. Select Put on Hazmat Suit.
  4. Return to the crime scene tasks and proceed with the cleanup!

6. Police Dispatch Alert Triggered During Cleanup

πŸ”΄ Symptom:

While cleaning a crime scene, an automatic 911 police alert or dispatch callout is sent to online police officers.

🟒 Cause:

The crime scene contained a security terminal (hack_alarm). The player either failed the hacking minigame or took too long, triggering the silent alarm fail-safe hooked into your dispatch bridge (qb_dispatch, ps_dispatch, cd_dispatch).

πŸ”§ Solution:

  1. Prioritize disabling the Hack Alarm task upon arriving at a scene before starting other cleanup tasks.
  2. Upgrade your Decryptor Tool in the dashboard Upgrades tab to grant additional puzzle countdown time.
  3. If you want to disable police dispatch alerts entirely on your server, set:
    dispatch = 'none',
    inside config/sh_config.lua.
